For the past 30 years Kevin has pretty much covered it all from playing, recording, selling, tour managing, guitar teching and most recently dedicating himself to the craft of building high quality guitars under the Providence moniker.

Kevin studied under Mike Hobbs at Merton College and then went to work for Matt Gleeson at Monty's Guitars at their West London workshop, where he gained an immense amount of knowledge regarding repairs. If there's something you want building specifically or just need to get that treasured guitar back to full strength, he can do it for you.

Reuben has worked as a touring backline tech for over 20 years, and has looked after guitars for artists such as Robert Plant, Foals, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Pixies, Alt-J, Lianne La Havas, Nile Rodgers, Clean Bandit, the Maccabees, Birdy, Blood Red Shoes, Laura Marling, the Magic Numbers, Alexisonfire and many more.

A busy recording and touring guitarist himself, and collector of weird and wonderful instruments, he understands the importance not only of a high quality finish and setup, but also the personal character and feel of a guitar.

Providence Guitars

We came together in July 2020 to create a purpose built workshop to focus on building beautiful instruments, and to keep peoples' prized guitars in world class condition. We're based in the Bussey Building in Peckham London.
